Easter Bunnies

Good Evening All!
I'm back with my Easter Card featuring some lovely bunnies. I found this digi stamp on           freevintagedigistamps.com, printed two out, coloured them with my promarkers and cut them out.  I added some gold twine around their necks and tied it in a bow.  The background I embossed using the swiss dots embossing folder through my cuttlebug, then printed my own message.  To complete, added some organza ribbon and some more gold twine.

Some Exciting News and a Thank you card

Good Evening Friends!
I have some exciting news that I wish to share with you all today!  Last week I decided to apply for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team and on Wednesday 20th March, they announced the semifinalists.  On that morning I woke up and checked their blog for the results and could not believe to see my name amongst them! Yes me!!  I am so excited and happy at this wonderful opportunity!  For the final round, we have to create two projects from the beautiful products that they have sent me including some papers, stamps and dies! I know that I will be very busy these next two weeks. I am so happy at even getting this far. Heartfelt Creations have a lovely website, with an inspiring blog and gallery.  I have included a link here.

My card below is one I made for Carole to say thank you for the wonderful blog candi I won from her blog last month.  The card is similar to one that I made a few weeks ago, but I decided to make this one square and add some flowers.

Thank for stopping by today,

Butterflies.....

This week, I wanted to use my gilding flakes as I have not used them for some time.  I stamped the butterfly(IndigoBlu) with the Flitterglu and applied the flakes, then using other blue inks, stamped more butterflies.  The circle was die cut and then I embossed the centre using the Swiss dots embossing folder.  I wanted to add some stitching around the edges for contrast.  The sentiment was stamped, embossed using clear powder and added to complete the card.

Clocks

Good Morning! A male card today and it's square!

I was asked to make a 90th Birthday Card for a male, so I stamped out the clocks in different colours and on the ones stamped black, I heat embossed the whole clock face with clear embossing powder for a lovely shiny look.  The birthday sentiment was die cut from black card, I used number peel offs for the 90 onto a die cut circle and added some twine.  All was then layered onto my background card, again I used the swiss dots embossing folder.

Enjoy Your Day

Good Morning All! I have made a simple card today involving stamping and making my own background, all with 2 distress ink colours.  At a recent craft show, I saw a demo on how to create a background using distress inks and some water, this is what I created.  The inks are applied to a clear acrylic block, then sprayed with water, then a piece of card layered over the top.  This transfers the ink, to create a lovely background.  When dry, I stamped the images over the top and layered it onto some back card. I used my swiss dots embossing folder for the background  and added a sentiment to complete.

Butterfly Card

Hi Everyone!  All my cards have been of a similar style and shape recently, so apologies, but I really like working on this size of card.  I cut out some vellum (Dawn Bibby Range) to fit my card blank and attached it on the reverse.  Out of some more vellum I cut out a few butterflies and layered them on top.  I put a small amount of glue on the body of the butterfly and stuck it down, then gently folded the wings upwards and added a gem. To complete, I added some ribbon around the top along with a tag. (It was really hard to photograph the vellum, so have done my best).
