Love.......

Good Afternoon All! I decided to make a 'Love You' Card for some challenges and wanted to use my new heart dies.
I die cut two from white card and the one from some red felt.  Really like the effect that stitching gives on cards, so stitched up the centres of two hearts (by hand).  The background is the swiss dots embossing folder and then added some barn door distress ink around the edges.  Stamped my sentiment, heat embossed and die cut it and threaded it through the ribbon.

Have a good day everyone.x

WOYWW - Week 190 (My First Visit)

Good Morning Everyone!
Today I wanted to join in with WOYWW for the very first time! All the details can be found on Julia's blog Stamping Ground. My work desk is in the garage/storage room which over the winter months is so cold that I am struggling to stay in there for long.  On my desk is a card that I am in the process of completing.  I bought some new dies that you can see for a £1 last week. I also got some heart dies, (also very reduced) you can just see the white one which I have die cut.  I am currently using some Melissa Frances Kitschy Kitchen papers and buttons will also be added to this card!!

Thanks for stopping by my desk today!x

Vintage Love

Today's card features some beautiful paper from Graphic45.  The paper is double sided and I wanted to use both sides, so used one for the background and the other side to make the flowers.  I stamped the Creative Expressions sentiment in black and added clear embossing powder to give it a shine.  I then die cut the sentiment using Spellbinders Floral Ovals and added a small amount of marigold distress ink.
The flowers were die cut using a Joys Crafts flower die and some card candi added  for the centres.

Simple, square card.

I have a small card to show today which was very simple to create.  The centre was made by using blue Brusho paint onto paper, drying it, then I had some textured wallpaper samples to hand, that I applied bleach to and used the wallpaper as a stamp (used a brayer over the top for an ever distribution).  These paints react with the paint to change the colour, mine went light blue, giving a lovely contrast.  This was dried again, then I stamped the sentiment in the corner.  I die cut a Fleur de Lis Square and cut the image to fit within, just highlighting the edges with some black ink.

Vintage Card

Happy New Year Everyone!
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year.  I have tried to do some crafting over the holiday period, but really struggled - think it might have something to do with the mess my desk is in!
However when I logged on to some challenge websites, I managed to create a card! I am so pleased with the end result!

Quite a simple card using a die cut sheet of decoupage which I have had for ages and matted onto some kraft cardstock.  I used some cream Bazzill Basics papers in my swiss dots embossing folder as a background, then added a sentiment and tied some organza ribbon around the card and into a bow to finish.

A Christmas Tag

A little Christmas tag to share with you all today! This was created using Spellbinder Poinsettia and Heirloom Ornament Dies.  I took the largest of the die cut and stamped all over with a music stamp and distressed the edges, all using Barn door. I die cut the poinsettia flower on card and again added distress ink, then I sewed the button into the centre.  I wanted to add some texture, so die cut the leaves using red felt.  Love the finished tag, although took some time to complete!

Manchester Day Out - Christmas Markets

Hi All!
After having a very frosty week, we decided to go into Manchester on Friday to experience the Festive Christmas Markets and it decided to rain!!  We carried on though (after purchasing an umbrella), stopping for lunch in a cabin and a gluhwein.  I took some photos to share with you all.

There are lots of the markets in the city centre.  The Santa photo was taken outside the Town Hall, where it was still very busy, considering the weather.  Good Day out overall, with a few more Christmas presents purchased!xx

With Sympathy

Evening All!
I recently was in need of making some Sympathy cards and tried to keep them white and delicate in design.
I used my Spellbinder crosses and layered two together.  The background was embossed with the tied together folder, and the pearls were made using the Cosmic Shimmer black glue.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Birthday Card

Hi All!
Another simple card today, similar to my previous post, apart from the size of card and this one has a butterfly! The backing paper I have had for some time, then used the off cut to make the butterfly with my Spellbinder dies, added some ribbon and another glittery peel off.x

Clean and Simple Birthday Card.....

 Good Afternoon Everyone!
I have a clean and simple card to share today that I made a few of, for a craft fayre last week.  I wanted to make as many out of a 12 x 12 piece of card  as I could, so made 4 of these small square cards.
I used my Spellbinder dies for the flower and the scalloped edge, coloured the ribbon with a pink Pro Marker and added a glittery Birthday peel off. Very simple, but a favourite of mine, had to keep one for my myself!
